The Canadian producer, BlackBerry, debuted last year with Android-Smartphone Priv. This year facing the manufacturer back with two more Android phones.
Crisis hit the BlackBerry has had difficulty finding a foothold in the smartphone market, which no longer demanded physical keyboards to the same degree-something just past BlackBerry’s smartphones excels at. Better were it nor by the fact that BlackBerry stubbornly continued to use its own BlackBerry OS-operating system and therefore suffered from an enormous lack of apps.
Therefore the manufacturer last year took a major step and launched its first smartphone with Android as the operating system instead of BlackBerry OS. It was with the model Priv, which has got something lukewarm reviews and have not been selling something.
It does not, however, be borne by the BlackBerry from trying it again on the Android platform. To the website NDTV tells BlackBerrys Director, John Chen, namely, that the company plans to launch two Android models this year. BlackBerry has obviously not abandoned the familiar QWERTY sliding keyboard and yet. It will be for only one of the models who get it, and the other will be therefore only touch-based, as more or less all other smartphones.
There will be two models in the mid-range, which, according to the Director would lie in a price range of $ 300-400 (2,000-2,600 SEK Excl. VAT). John Chen acknowledges that “there was too much top model” of Priv, as apparently not appealed to businesses-something which is an important customer segment for BlackBerry that gives priority to safety in the phones is extremely high.
Pictures of the one model is already out
Already in november month showed the first details of a new Android-smartphone with physical keyboard from BlackBerry up. It was the model, codenamed Vienna, there were leaked four high-resolution photos of. Now that the BlackBerry Manager has revealed that one of this year’s two models just get a physical keyboard, there may not be much doubt that it is the Vienna model shown in the pictures above, there is one of the two smartphones.
Although the Director has unveiled the more of the details, there is yet no information about when they come on the market. Denmark is, however, hardly at the top of the list to receive them, if they even come here.
