LG G5: Here’s Everything We Know Before Launching

With Mobile World Congress just around the corner we gather now up on the last few months rumors about LG G5 and gives a full overview of what we think we know.

Just like any other top model has spread a sea of rumored LG G5, where it can be quite hard to sort the credible rumors from the more questionable.

LG G5 Here’s Everything We Know Before Launching

Rumours of LG G5 is, however, gradually became so many that representing a quite clear picture of the top model LG G5 will be. Prior to the big event just before the Mobile World Congress 2016 Sunday 14:00 follows here’s a rundown of what we think we know about LG G5.

Full metal construction with special “drawer” at the bottom

Compared to LG G4 will be major design changes when G5’eren is launched. Rumors have long pointed out that the G5 will switch all plastic with aluminum in a so-called unibody construction. It has usually meant that the battery cannot be replaced, but LG has come up with an ingenious solution.

In the middle of the month of January there was for a very special reputationthat went on, that one can push the bottom out of the LG G5 to get access to the battery — just like opening the drawer of a dresser. As subsequently occurred a month’s silence on the rumor, and the feature was not shown up on the first leaked images of the phone, it seemed suddenly more doubtful whether it would become a reality.

Today, however, again will breathe life into the rumor. The website Anzhou has got his fingers in a picture of what is likely to be wrapping a piece of accessories consisting of bottom of LG G5 with a big yellow battery, in which it says “life’s good when you play more” – LG’s new slogan for G5.

Unless we are talking about quite good photo editing so it looks set to become a reality, that the battery in LG G5 can be pushed out. The battery should also be at 2,800 mAh, so there will be therefore a small decline on 200 mAh compared to the 3,000-sized battery in G4.

Mount the various modules via “magic Castle”

A rumor that probably is closely related to the above, is the so-called “magic Castle”, as LG is expected to come up with G5. Here is a very indistinct image appeared, where we see that an extra module has been mounted on the back of the LG G5 via this magic Castle-function.

It should be possible to connect various modules, which may well be via the bottom, now that it can be. In the picture above displays what is believed to be a camera module that includes an extra battery 1,100 mAh, but no sensor. Used for the two existing sensors, which are already in LG G5 according to Thereligionfaqs.com.

Instead, many of the buttons module, we know from an ordinary compact camera – and it is exclusively to handle the cell phone as a camera than it is to improve the picture quality itself. That is the theory at least.

It is reported also that other modules as a virtual reality headset, external keyboard and an amplifier can be added – it may be that the B & O Play has partnered with LG to improve sound quality.

Smaller screen and even thinner

There is usually only one trend when it comes to smartphones and new generations: bigger and bigger screens, but they cannot, of course, continue to grow. That is why LG with G5 the opposite way and screws a tooth down to the screen size in relation to the two predecessors G4 and G3, which has a 5.5 “large screen.

In the G5 comes the screen size according to rumor to be called 5.3 “, which makes the only 0.1” larger than the screen in the now somewhat old LG G2. The resolution will be, of course, still the high WQHD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, which ensures a high pixel density of 554 pixels per inch.

There have been various talk about whether there will be a similar secondary screen above the main screen, just as it can be seen in LG V10. It seems to be a little bit lower, but it is only a few mm. Resolution looks for appear to be 1,040 × 140 pixels and will likely serve the same purpose as in the V10 – so quick access to shortcuts, times, etc.

Size change LG G5 not the really big compared to last year’s top model. Dimensions according to a rumor will be called 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2 mm, and thus it will be 0.5 mm higher, 2.2 mm narrower and entire 1.6 mm thinner compared to the thickest place from LG G4.

Prompt Snapdragon 820 processor

Not surprisingly will get the same powerful G5 LG Snapdragon 820 processor which many of this year’s competitors. The processor is the fastest and powerful from Qualcomm, which consists of 4 of the so-called Cryo-cores up to 2.2 GHz.

Of RAM is that both reports of 3 and 4 GB, but it is 3 GB, there has been rumor most. It may very well be that LG is releasing a variant with 4 GB, which gets even more than the 64 GB internal storage, as it is expected to come up with. This is in spite of the fact that the according to rumor also can be upgraded with an external microSD card.

Two cameras on the back

On the camera front, there seems to be stuff with LG G5. Here is reported that LG will make use of two camera sensors – one primary at 16 megapixels and a secondary at 8 megapixels. It is still uncertain what purpose the extra sensor must serve, but it may be that it has optical zoom.

The two sensors should be accompanied by a heart rate monitor and laser auto focus. In front of a 8 megapixel camera, sounds the rumors.

The screen is kept constantly lit

Shortly after it turned out that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have an “always on” display, shared a similar news about LG G5.

In a Facebook-lookup shared LG a GIF animation that shows that screen remains lit when other phones around the turns off the screen. Assessed on the basis of the animation will be the front panel held on, but it will probably require a share of power, if it is not an AMOLED screen.

It may also be that it is only the secondary screen that stays on and displays useful info such as the clock, notifications, etc.

The mobile site is of course present at Mobile World Congress and ready to bring all the news from LGs event, when it all goes loose Sunday the 21st. February 14:00.

Possible price revealed

According to a price that appeared in Dubai, will LG G5 countries at a price that matches the area of 4,500 kroner before tax and fee. It will probably end up, that it is in the expensive end along with Galaxy S7.

LGs more luksuiøse variant of the G4 with doctors got an indicative price in Denmark on 5,489, and G5 would in all probability be in the same price range.
