One of them is the steering system Remix US, which recently launched a version 2.0. It can most easily be described as a cross between Android from your smartphone and Windows on your computer-or to put it another way: Android as you know it is optimized to operate in the same way, as you know it from a traditional Windows computer.

Although the company behind, Jide, already has launched a tablet and a mini-pc, the project is still relatively new, after two former Google employees decided to develop the operating system and publish it in a so-called alpha-version. This means that the resulting part small bug with if at this early stage will test the operating system on its own computer.

Now, many of these early error however, corrected, as the OS now released in a beta release in connection with the fact that all computers with 32-bit processors now will also be able to install the operating system.

So far it has only been possible to run Remix OS 2.0 on Intel-and AMD-computers with 64-bit processors. This means that they are either a bit older or very cheap computers now also can run the operating system, which requires significantly fewer resources than a full-blooded operating system.

From the 1. March can you therefore visit the official website and download the OS in beta as a zip file. Here there are different instructions, you scan result. You can, among other things, install Remix US next to your existing operating system through the application, is included. You can also choose to run Remix OS 2.0 from a USB stick and take it me you anywhere and get easy access to all the Android apps, you know from your smartphone and tablet.

The only major shortcoming of Remix OS 2.0 at the moment is that there are not yet included the so-called “Google Play services” package, which contains all content from Google, such as access to Playstation store (and thus all apps), syncing with your Google account, etc.

Fortunately, you can easily install the entire package by downloading the following, but it is something that is being worked on to find a more permanent solution.

“As Jide has mastered a brand new made to experience on Android, Google will Play services and Play-shop right now not be preinstalled in Remix OS. This is only as long as Google takes the time they need to test the new operating system. Users of the beta version will be able to install Google Play services by following the instructions on the Jides website, “ writes the company in a press release in connection with Mobile World Congress, where the company is present.
