Brightness

Meaning of Brightness

Posted on February 13, 2021February 16, 2021 by ablogtophone

It is known as glow to the light emitted or reflected by a body. The term can refer to the luminous flux emitted or the clarity of colors. For example: “Look at the shine on that jewel! It is spectacular”, “This morning I waxed the floor to make it brighter”, “I am going to increase the brightness of the TV as I cannot see clearly”.

In the case of screens, we generally associate the term brightness with that property of the image that allows us to see objects more clearly, although modern technologies have made this concept more complex.

One of the problems with increasing the brightness level on a conventional television is that the colors begin to fade and look “washed out”; in short, they get closer to the target, something that by no means happens in real life. However, companies like Samsung strive every year to ensure that their panels allow the least loss of color despite the increase in brightness, something that can be seen in the series called QLED.

Brightness is usually associated with an object that is new or that is clean and shiny. A 0 km car is shiny: it does not show the stains, scrapes and scratches that are generated with use. As time goes by, the vehicle will lose its shiny appearance.

In the field of astronomy, brightness is associated with luminosity. Luminosity is the physical property that refers to the amount of energy emitted by a celestial body per unit of time. According to the distance at which we are from the body in question, we will perceive a greater or lesser brightness. The surface brightness, meanwhile, is the apparent brightness of a galaxy or other astronomical object considerable length.

The idea of gloss can also refer to the way light interacts with the surface of a mineral. This gloss depends on the absorption of the colors by the mineral and its refractive index.

According to DigoPaul, brightness is used symbolically to name the brilliance or success of someone or something: “The brilliance of the Swiss tennis player remained unchanged for almost a decade”, “In a lackluster match, the German team beat the team Italian by 1 to 0 ”, “ The critic stated that viewers will be surprised by the brilliance of the young actor in his new film ”.

The brightness of a person is always his most remarkable aspect, although this is not always combined with a healthy personality. In fact, the brightest people are often the most unhappy because of their difficulties in being understood by others. Behind many geniuses of art and science there are beings who cannot stand life, who feel trapped in a story in which they must be the protagonists despite not having had the possibility to choose this role. We could say, figuratively, that the magnitude of brightness is always directly proportional to that of shadow.

Of course, it is in the hands of society to guide bright children in a proper and constructive way, to prevent them from considering their talents a torture from which they cannot escape. Parents and closest family members are the first to notice the glow in these special individuals, but more often than not, teachers have the tools to do so. For this reason, schools should be prepared to teach each person the best way to harness their own potential, rather than giving everyone the same content.
